2026 Children’s Art Contest & Gallery Exhibition
Wolfgang & Luke invites children ages 4–12 to imagine a garden where anything can grow. Flowers that sing? Trees filled with books? A tiny house for a dragon? We want to see the extraordinary world your young artist creates!
Children may use crayons, coloured pencils, markers, paint, or any combination they choose. They can draw directly on our contest sheet or create their artwork on a separate piece of paper.
Entry is free, with one entry permitted per child. An art-supply prize will be awarded in each age group: ages 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12. Selected artworks will also be featured in a special exhibition at Wolfgang & Luke Art Gallery in Sterling, where families will be invited to celebrate our young artists.
Entry deadline: October 4, 2026
To enter, a parent or guardian should email a clear photograph of the completed artwork to syl@wolfgangandluke.com. Please include the artwork’s title, the child’s first name and age, and the adult’s name and contact information.
Parent or guardian permission will be requested before any child’s artwork is displayed or shared. Entering the contest does not subscribe families to marketing emails.

Paint and Sip for Adults
Join us for a relaxed evening of painting, color, and creative connection.
Inspired by expressive pumpkin/floral still lifes, this guided paint-and-sip experience will lead you through the creation of a pumpkin and floral arrangement.
Rather than creating identical paintings, each participant will be encouraged to make individual choices about color, composition, flower shapes, and decorative details. The focus is on enjoying the process, working with confident brushstrokes, and creating something that feels personal.
No painting experience is necessary. Step-by-step guidance will be provided throughout the evening, along with all materials needed to complete your own finished canvas.

Opening Reception for ArtStudio 151 Sterling Artists Exhibition / Christmas Party
We will be celebrating our new exhibition with this Opening Reception which will feature an artist talk, refreshments, activities and hopefully some live music. Stay tuned for more information
ArtStudio 151 Sterling Artists Exhibition
Come and visit works from 10 artists from the ArtStudio 151 group of Sterling artists. During the week, it is viewing by appointment only - please contact Syl at 917-349-3301. And during many weekends, we will be open 10am-2pm.
St. Francis Episcopal Plein Air Gathering
Weston Mathews, the new Pastor of St. Francis Episcopal, is a patron of the arts and is dedicated to providing community to Great Falls residents and visitors from abroad. He has graciously offered the grounds of St. Francis for artists to convene for plein air gatherings and this is the inaugural event. All levels of artists are welcome, and there will be informal instruction available for newbies who are looking for some initial direction, and I find that seasoned artists are always happy to offer peer to peer instruction. Babies, toddlers, kids, tweens, teens, adults…all ages are welcome to take in nature and dabble around with art supplies to see what they make of it all.
Please pack a lunch and plan to picnic on the grounds from 12-1 after working up a good appetite from your creative endeavours. Socialize and enjoy the ambience.
I will have supplies on hand…10 easels are available to borrow at no charge in addition to some basic paper and charcoal. I’ll have some watercolour and acrylic supplies on hand available for purchase.

Named after my daughter (who has the initials VT), these sessions are for kids up to age 8 to come and play and create and learn basic cultural, spelling and math skills through art and play, as inspired by my daughter. $25 per session per child to cover supplies. Parents are asked to stay (there is room to sit and have a coffee). 1-hour sessions. Bathrooms on site.

Bring your paints, your brushes, your canvas and we will provide the study subject, the easels, coffee tea and snacks. $150/session. Sign up here . Basic supplies available if needed (brushes, canvases/boards, acrylic paints).
